BlackRock Aladdin Consultant

Overview

We are looking for a seasoned BlackRock Aladdin platform specialist with 10 to 18 years of experience to join our team in Abu Dhabi. This role involves supporting and improving investment management, risk analytics, and portfolio operations by leveraging strong technical and financial expertise. The successful candidate will engage with portfolio managers, risk teams, operations, and IT departments to build scalable solutions, enhance automation, and boost efficiency throughout the investment lifecycle.

Key Accountabilities

• Design, develop, and maintain solutions based on the Aladdin platform.
• Collaborate with portfolio management, risk control, and operational teams to gather and understand business needs.
• Create and manage system integrations via APIs, ETL pipelines, and other data interfaces.
• Configure Aladdin workflows while enhancing its reporting and analytics functions.
• Provide support for trade lifecycle handling, investment operations, and reconciliation workflows.
• Perform data analysis on portfolios, market factors, and risk metrics to guide investment decisions.
• Investigate and resolve production-related technical issues promptly.
• Engage with multidisciplinary teams in Agile project settings.
• Document technical processes, workflow diagrams, and user guides thoroughly.
• Maintain high standards of data accuracy, system efficiency, and ensure compliance with regulations.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Finance, or a similar discipline.
• Substantial experience working directly on the BlackRock Aladdin platform within asset management or investment banking sectors.
• Comprehensive knowledge of financial instruments, portfolio handling, and investment operation procedures.
• Excellent analytical thinking and complex problem-solving capabilities.
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication and stakeholder coordination.

Preferred Background

• Practical exposure to Front Office, Middle Office, or Risk Management departments.
• Familiarity with cloud data ecosystems and enterprise integration platforms.
• Experience participating in Agile-driven development and delivery cycles.
• Awareness of financial regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements.

Additional Advantageous Skills

• Knowledge of Bloomberg or Reuters integration technologies.
• Understanding performance attribution and investment analytics methodologies.
• Experience with data warehousing and advanced reporting solutions.
• Relevant certifications in finance markets or cloud services.
