Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Biotech Health Data Governance Lead to influence how AI comprehends and utilizes clinical research data. Your expertise will ensure that biotech and clinical trial data remains accurate, traceable, and compliant, serving as a foundation for scientific exploration, regulatory approvals, and next-generation AI innovations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise biotech research and clinical trial data management ensuring precision, data lineage, and complete audit trails throughout scientific assessments and regulatory filings.
  • Establish and enforce comprehensive data policies involving classification, access permissions, security measures, and metadata standards across research, clinical, regulatory, and collaborator teams.
  • Facilitate secure and governed access to sensitive datasets for analytics, innovative projects, and third-party collaborations while safeguarding confidentiality and patient privacy.
  • Collaborate with scientific experts, IT personnel, compliance officers, and business stakeholders to harmonize data standards and enhance cross-functional processes.
  • Support AI development initiatives by guaranteeing that input data meets stringent quality, compliance, and traceability criteria.

Candidate Profile

  • Proven track record in leading or executing data governance frameworks within biotech, life sciences, clinical research, or regulated data contexts.
  • Deep knowledge of data privacy laws, security protocols, compliance standards, and regulatory requirements pertinent to research and clinical trial data.
  • Ability to unify scientific, technical, and compliance teams to secure agreement on data policies and standards.
  • Meticulous attention to detail coupled with a systematic approach to ensuring data quality and auditability.
  • Capability to operate autonomously in an asynchronous, fully remote environment.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with data annotation, evaluating data quality, or preparing AI training datasets.
  • Acquaintance with regulatory submission guidelines such as those from FDA, EMA, and ICH.
  • Background in bioinformatics, health informatics, or management of clinical data systems.
  • Experience collaborating with globally distributed, cross-functional teams.
