Biology Masters - AI Data Trainer

About the Role

Alignerr works with leading AI research teams and laboratories to create and improve advanced AI systems. This remote contract role is intended for people with a master’s background in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a closely related discipline. The work is fully remote, offers flexible weekly hours, and does not require previous AI experience.

You will contribute your biology expertise to help improve large language models such as ChatGPT. The work involves creating challenging problems, assessing how well AI systems respond, and collaborating with researchers to strengthen evaluation benchmarks.

Position: Biology Masters - AI Data Trainer
Compensation: $35–$55 per hour
Location: Remote
Commitment: 10–40 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

Your role will center on building and reviewing biology-focused evaluation material for AI systems.

• Create advanced biology questions that can be used to measure AI performance.
• Write clear, logically structured solutions with careful step-by-step reasoning.
• Review AI-generated answers for correctness and the quality of reasoning used.
• Work alongside researchers to improve benchmarks across biology topics from undergraduate through master’s level.

Requirements

Applicants should have a strong academic and analytical foundation in biology and be able to explain complex ideas clearly in writing.

• Master’s degree, currently pursuing or already completed, in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a related area.
• Strong ability to reason through advanced biology problems.
• Clear written communication and the ability to give structured feedback.
• No prior AI background is necessary.

Preferred Background

• Experience with data annotation, data quality work, or evaluation frameworks is an added advantage.
