About the Role
Alignerr works with leading AI research groups and labs to develop and train advanced AI systems. This remote contract role is suited to people with a master’s background in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a closely related discipline. The work is fully remote, offers flexible weekly hours, and does not require prior AI experience.
In this position, you will use your biology expertise to help improve large language models such as ChatGPT. The role focuses on creating challenging questions, reviewing how well AI handles them, and supporting researchers in building stronger evaluation benchmarks.

Position: Biology Masters - AI Data Trainer
Employment Type: Hourly Contract
Compensation: $35–$55 per hour
Location: Remote
Weekly Commitment: 10–40 hours
What You Will Do
- Create advanced biology questions that can be used to measure AI performance.
- Write clear, logical, step-by-step solutions to the problems you design.
- Assess AI responses for correctness and the strength of their reasoning.
- Work with researchers to improve evaluation benchmarks across biology topics ranging from undergraduate level through master’s level.
Requirements
- A master’s degree that is either completed or currently in progress in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a similar field.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability in advanced biology areas.
- Capability to explain complex concepts clearly in writing and give well-structured feedback.
- No previous AI experience is necessary.
Preferred Background
- Experience with data annotation, data quality work, or evaluation frameworks is a plus.
