Biology Expert

Role overview

This remote contractor role is focused on contributing biological expertise to the development of advanced AI systems. Your input will help improve how models understand, reason through, and respond to real-world information. Prior AI experience is not required; strong knowledge of biology is the main requirement.

What you will do

• Read and interpret biological documents, research papers, and datasets, then pull out the most relevant domain-specific details.
• Create, check, and improve biology-based questions and answers, especially those involving data retrieval, calculations, and analytical reasoning.
• Review complex material and explain it clearly through written feedback that improves AI model performance.
• Work with cross-functional and remote teams to maintain accuracy, depth, and consistency in content.
• Use your subject matter expertise to support high-quality assessment content and strengthen model training data.
• Manage your own workload independently and deliver output on time with minimal supervision.
• Help refine data quality standards and internal project workflows over time.

What we are looking for

• At least 2 years of professional or academic experience in biology, whether in a lab, industry, or academic setting.
• Strong ability to read, understand, and synthesize technical or research-heavy material.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• Experience producing or assessing scientific content, problem sets, reports, or similar technical work.
• Comfort working independently in a remote environment with strong self-management skills.
• High attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
• Ability to work with technical documents and complete analytical tasks effectively.

Preferred background

• A Master’s degree or PhD in Biology or a closely related discipline is preferred.
• Experience on interdisciplinary, research-oriented, or cross-functional projects is an advantage.
• Familiarity with computational biology or data analysis tools is helpful.

Additional information
