Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Biologist to join our team on a contract basis, working remotely. This role involves taking the lead on designing, optimizing, and executing gene editing experiments using CRISPR technology. The candidate will contribute to advancing molecular biology research through innovative experimental design and data management, working approximately 10 to 40 hours per week.
Role Responsibilities
- Lead the creation and refinement of CRISPR gene editing experiments to achieve precise genetic modifications.
- Develop cloning methods to produce new genetic constructs and cell lines essential for experimental workflows.
- Conduct genotyping and PCR assays as well as analyze genetic sequences to verify modifications.
- Design synthetic DNA and RNA sequences and develop screening strategies applicable to high-throughput experiments.
- Work collaboratively with cross-disciplinary teams to convert experimental results into structured datasets that enhance AI training models.
- Utilize molecular biology techniques to examine molecular components, organelle function, and cellular architecture.
- Maintain thorough and clear documentation of all experimental methodologies and discoveries to ensure reproducibility and efficient information sharing.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven expertise in CRISPR gene editing techniques and related experimental workflows.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with cloning procedures, genotyping, and PCR-based methodologies.
- Strong proficiency in designing nucleotide sequences and screening approaches in molecular biology.
- Excellent communication skills with meticulous attention to scientific accuracy and detail.
- Capacity to investigate and interpret molecular and organelle dynamics within cellular contexts.
- Dedicated to maintaining data integrity, optimizing laboratory processes, and ensuring robustness of experiments.

- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, or a closely related discipline.
