Biochemist – AI Data Trainer

About the Role

Alignerr is seeking PhD-level biochemists to support next-generation AI development by refining language models focused on life sciences. This contract position is fully remote and offers flexible hours from 10 to 40 per week. Your scientific expertise will be pivotal in challenging advanced AI systems on intricate topics including protein folding, enzyme kinetics, molecular genetics, and metabolic flux analysis, ensuring AI reasoning aligns with rigorous scientific standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop complex biochemistry problems involving areas such as nucleic acid chemistry, proteomics, and drug-target interactions to rigorously test AI capabilities.
• Craft detailed, authoritative technical solutions that establish benchmarks of scientific accuracy.
• Review AI-generated biochemical pathways, molecular assemblies, and mathematical analyses to verify correctness and compliance with scientific norms.
• Detect and address logical inconsistencies like incorrect stoichiometry or stereochemistry, providing structured feedback to enhance AI reasoning processes in life sciences.

Qualifications

• Possession of a PhD or near completion in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a closely related discipline.
• In-depth knowledge of at least one specialty such as structural biology, enzymology, cellular metabolism, or bioinformatics.
• Exceptional ability to communicate complex biological and chemical concepts clearly and accurately in written form.
• Strong attention to detail when evaluating chemical formulas, molecular graphics, and experimental methods.
• Previous experience with artificial intelligence is not required; full onboarding will be provided.

Additional Advantages
