Overview
Life Insurance Corporation of India invites passionate women to join as Bima Sakhi, local insurance facilitators working predominantly in rural and semi-urban areas. The role focuses on empowering communities by promoting insurance awareness, assisting with policy enrollment, and supporting claim procedures, particularly targeting underserved populations and Self-Help Groups.
Key Duties
- Promote understanding of various insurance products, including life, health, and accident coverage, among SHG members and local communities using easily understandable communication.
- Guide individuals through filling out insurance applications accurately and ensure all required documentation is complete.
- Facilitate the enrollment process for government and private insurance schemes.
- Assist clients in submitting claim forms, gathering necessary paperwork, and tracking progress.
- Maintain comprehensive records of beneficiaries and claim submissions.
- Organize recurring meetings or conduct door-to-door visits to encourage insurance participation.
- Collaborate with banks, insurance agents, NGOs, and government representatives when necessary.
- Provide regular updates and reports to supervisors or field coordinators on activities and progress.
