Role Overview
The Bima Sakhi is a full-time hybrid role based in Lucknow, involving a combination of on-site fieldwork and work-from-home tasks. The primary responsibility is to assist and educate local communities in understanding and selecting appropriate LIC insurance policies. Key activities include meeting potential clients, assessing their financial needs, guiding them through policy applications, maintaining client records, and offering ongoing support. The role also includes coordinating with branch staff, participating in awareness drives, and strictly adhering to LIC policies and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Engage with prospective customers to promote LIC insurance products and explain their benefits clearly.
- Conduct financial needs analysis to recommend suitable coverage options.
- Assist clients in completing application and documentation procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of interactions and policy servicing activities.
- Collaborate with branch personnel and other agents for smooth service delivery.
- Participate in community awareness campaigns to educate on insurance benefits.
- Ensure compliance with LIC guidelines and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications and Skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities to explain financial and insurance concepts effectively.
- Strong customer orientation with the ability to build and sustain relationships within the community.
- Basic understanding of financial products such as savings, protection, and pension plans, with the eagerness to learn LIC's product range.
- Effective time management skills and ability to work autonomously in field settings.
- Familiarity with mobile devices and basic digital applications for communication and reporting, with readiness for further training on LIC systems.
- Educational qualification as required by LIC, typically successful completion of school education; additional background in finance, commerce, or social work is advantageous.
- Prior experience in community outreach, sales, or direct customer engagement is preferred but not mandatory; a strong motivation to serve the community is essential.
- Willingness to travel around Lucknow and nearby areas as needed.
