BIM Coordinator

Role Overview

This position is for a BIM Coordinator focused on infrastructure delivery across large civil projects in the UAE and wider Middle East region. The role centers on managing Building Information Modeling processes for roads, utilities, bridges, and related works, while ensuring that multidisciplinary teams work from a coordinated and standards-compliant model environment.

Work Location and Schedule

The role is based in Dubai, UAE and is site-based. The working arrangement is 48 hours per week across 6 days each week.

Key Duties

The coordinator will bring together models from multiple disciplines, check them for conflicts, and help maintain alignment between design intent, site execution, and project information requirements. The position also includes guiding data management practices, supporting collaborative reviews, and contributing to delivery through construction and handover stages.

Core Responsibilities

• Merge civil, structural, MEP, and landscaping models into one coordinated federated model.
• Run clash checks, assess conflicts, and help drive resolution of spatial and physical issues throughout the project lifecycle.
• Apply and monitor the BIM Execution Plan so that all outputs comply with project requirements and ISO 19650 standards.
• Manage the Common Data Environment for controlled document handling, model distribution, and organized project data storage.
• Lead coordination sessions and technical workshops with internal teams and external stakeholders to address design and buildability concerns.
• Support model progression up to LOD 400 for construction and LOD 500 for as-built and asset management needs.

Required Background

The ideal candidate should have a strong command of BIM coordination in major infrastructure settings, along with practical knowledge of civil design workflows and relevant engineering software. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management, and typically demands more than 10 years of experience in BIM coordination on large civil or infrastructure projects.

Software and Technical Focus

Strong hands-on experience with Autodesk Civil 3D, Navisworks Manage, and Autodesk Construction Cloud is essential. Familiarity with grading, alignments, pipe networks, roads, and utility design workflows is also important for success in this role.
