About the role
Securecom is expanding and looking to add a Billing Specialist & Accounts Assistant to its Ellerslie team in Auckland. In this position, you will work closely with the CFO, the Financial Accountant, and an existing Billing Specialist to keep the billing and finance function operating efficiently. The role offers variety, a strong focus on precision, and the chance to contribute in a busy, supportive workplace.
You will take ownership of a portfolio of customers and be involved in the full billing cycle, from new customer setup through to monthly invoicing and credit control. The position also provides exposure to wider finance work, including month-end support and audit preparation, making it a well-rounded opportunity for someone looking to grow within finance.
Key responsibilities
- Handle billing activities from start to finish across agreements, projects, and time-and-materials arrangements.
- Support procurement-related billing and ad hoc invoicing tasks.
- Coordinate with the Sales and Product teams to ensure billing accuracy and alignment.
- Manage debtor follow-up, receipting, and credit control processes.
- Prepare weekly reports and assist with compliance-related duties.
- Support month-end close activities and help prepare for audits.
What we are looking for
- A positive attitude and a genuine willingness to learn.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong accuracy in day-to-day work.
- The ability to manage several priorities at once and work to deadlines.
- Confidence collaborating across teams and building effective working relationships.
- Good Excel capability and a strong numerical approach.
- Experience using ConnectWise PSA or a similar platform would be an advantage.
