Role Overview

The Billing Specialist is responsible for processing and overseeing billing transactions related to assigned insurance policies, ensuring that invoices are issued and collected accurately and promptly. This role involves coordination with clients, brokers, and insurance carriers to resolve any billing discrepancies, all while maintaining exceptional customer service standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage the billing process for assigned insurance policies efficiently and accurately.
• Ensure collections of invoices are timely and correct.
• Collaborate with clients, brokers, and insurance providers to identify and resolve billing issues.
• Provide excellent customer support throughout all billing interactions.

Qualifications and Skills

• Completion of Grade 12 education or an equivalent diploma is mandatory.
• Possession of a Level 1 license or readiness to obtain one.
• At least one year of customer service experience.
• Motivated to support and contribute effectively within a diverse team setting.
• Self-driven with outstanding attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced, client-centered work environment.
• Proficient in Windows-based computer applications.

• This is a full-time position based at HUB’s Lethbridge or Calgary branches.
• No travel is expected for this role.
