About the Team

The E-commerce business is a rapidly expanding area focused on bringing customers closer to trusted sellers and high-quality products through live streaming, short videos, and product recommendations. The recommendation infrastructure team builds and improves the systems that power these experiences, working side by side with applied machine learning engineers to support scalable and reliable recommendation technologies.

This graduate opportunity is designed for candidates joining in 2026, offering the chance to work on ambitious ideas, solve complex technical problems, and grow in a fast-moving global environment. Selected candidates must be available to start onboarding by the end of 2026 and should clearly mention their graduation timeline and availability in their resume.

Responsibilities

• Develop and put in place an effective offline data architecture for recommendation systems operating at large scale.
• Create flexible, scalable, and efficient storage and compute solutions.
• Investigate production issues, and build the safeguards, processes, and tools needed to keep systems stable.
• Engineer distributed storage and processing platforms that can reliably handle massive data volumes and large business workloads.
• Build data-processing and analytics applications that convert raw data into useful insights using programming languages and visualization tools.
• Use data mining, data modeling, natural language processing, and machine learning to analyze both structured and unstructured datasets.
• Present findings visually, interpret results, and prepare data reports when needed.

Requirements

• Currently completing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or another relevant technical field.
• Hands-on familiarity with major big data tools and frameworks such as Hadoop, Hive, Flink, FlinkSQL, Spark, Kafka, HBase, Redis, RocksDB, and ElasticSearch.
• Working knowledge of Java, C++, and similar programming languages.
• Strong ability to code and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Fast learner with a proactive mindset, strong ownership, and the ability to solve problems creatively.
• Comfortable collaborating in a fast-paced, multicultural, globally distributed team.
