Job description

About the role

Razorblue Group is hiring a Bid Writer to join a fast-growing team of tech-focused professionals. This role blends persuasive writing, bid coordination, research, stakeholder collaboration, and sales support. The position is based in Stockton-On-Tees, England, United Kingdom, with a hybrid working model.

Bid writing and proposal creation

A large part of the role is producing strong bid and proposal content that is tailored to each opportunity and clearly aligned to client expectations.

  • Create clear, convincing, and customised text for bids, proposals, and tender submissions.
  • Keep tone, branding, and key messaging aligned across every response.
  • Convert technical or operational detail into language that is easy for clients to understand.
  • Partner with the Bid Manager to build and maintain a reusable content library, including case studies and credentials.

Compliance and quality

You will help ensure every submission is accurate, polished, and compliant with the stated requirements.

  • Check that bids meet client specifications, internal governance standards, and scoring requirements.
  • Review and refine content to improve correctness, grammar, and overall impact.

Collaboration and stakeholder engagement

The role requires regular communication with teams across the business to gather input and shape strong submissions.

  • Work closely with subject matter experts in business development, commercial, and operational teams.
  • Take part in bid kick-off and review meetings.

Research and market insight

Part of the job involves analysing tender packs and using market knowledge to support better bid strategy.

  • Review tender documents and customer requirements in detail.
  • Support the Bid Manager with competitor analysis and market research.
  • Keep up with industry developments and procurement practices.

Post-bid activity

After submissions are completed, you will continue to support follow-up activity and client engagement.

  • Join debriefs and lessons-learned sessions.
  • Assist with client presentations.

End-to-end bid coordination

You will help keep multiple bids and framework opportunities moving on time and according to process.

  • Work with the Bid Manager to ensure end-to-end bid processes are followed for multiple new business opportunities and key frameworks.
  • Manage deadlines, documentation, and submission requirements assigned by the Bid Manager.

Sales and revenue growth

The role also contributes to the wider sales process and handover into the new business function.

  • Support the sales cycle from first contact through to qualified handover to the New Business team.
  • Join new business team members in prospect meetings to help improve win rates.
