Bid Manager / Senior Estimator - Facades & Recladding

Role Overview

The Bid Manager will spearhead the end-to-end tendering process, ensuring preparation and submission of high-value, profitable bids for facade and recladding projects. This pivotal position manages initial client engagement and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to secure business aligned with company goals and risk tolerance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead external client communications and oversee the overall tender process.
• Distribute work components to estimating teams and ensure input from Technical, Operations, Commercial, and Finance departments.
• Manage quotations from vendors and subcontractors ensuring compliance and accuracy.
• Confirm each bid is technically compliant, commercially sound, operationally feasible, and aligned to the company’s strategic objectives.
• Build a sustainable project order book with profitable and suitable contracts to support current business and future growth.

Qualifications and Experience

• Proven estimating background in facades, cladding, roofing, building envelope, or remediation industries.
• Deep understanding of facade tendering systems and protocols.
• Skilled in managing the full lifecycle of tenders from enquiry receipt to submission and formal handover.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional teams under pressing timelines.
• Strong commercial insight combined with effective risk management capabilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and stakeholder relationship management.
• Competent at managing multiple opportunities with sound prioritization.
