Bid Manager (Industrial MV/LV)

Role Overview

We are seeking a Bid Manager specializing in industrial MV/LV electrical projects to independently manage the tendering process for a privately-owned Irish electrical contractor near Dublin. This position offers complete ownership of the tender desk, where you will assess enquiries, decide on pursuit viability, prepare pricing, and hand over projects without supervision or micromanagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the entire industrial tendering process from enquiry assessment to pricing and project handover.
• Apply commercial judgment to prioritize tenders effectively across data center, pharmaceutical, and utility sectors.
• Handle a typical volume of up to ten tenders daily, with projects ranging from €100,000 to €3-4 million, including worked examples like ring main units, e-houses, and transformers.
• Collaborate closely with delivery teams in the office environment to ensure smooth transition of projects.

Candidate Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in industrial electrical contracting with strong knowledge of MV and LV systems.
• Proven background in tendering or estimating industrial electrical projects.
• Ability to work as a self-motivated professional who initiates action without waiting for direction.
• Located within commuting distance to the office near Dublin or open to relocating with a clear timeline.
• Reluctance for remote working since collaboration with on-site delivery teams is essential.
