Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Betting Clerk to join our Phoenix branch in KwaZulu Natal. The selected candidate will oversee daily branch operations that include taking customer bets, cash handling, payout processing, customer interaction, and ensuring compliance with company policies and betting regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and ensure timely updates to betting boards, memos, card changes, results, and daily scratchings.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of betting rules, odds, payouts, and abide by confirmation limits by consulting the BSC and Events Office as required.
• Support branch growth by assisting with betting activities and promoting the brand's values.
• Handle branch cash according to established protocols to minimize risks related to theft or fraud, including accurately maintaining float amounts and conducting interim cash checks.
• Address any cash shortages or discrepancies immediately, following procedures for repayment and reporting.
• Maintain the branch appearance, ensuring clean, organized, and well-functioning workstations and reporting any equipment malfunctions promptly.
• Deliver exemplary customer service by being courteous, responsive to complaints, and fostering strong relationships with regular patrons.
• Adhere strictly to all internal controls, ethical standards, and compliance mandates, including uniform and conduct policies during working hours.
• Promote and embody Hollywoodbets' core values, serving as a role model for peers and contributing to a positive team culture.

Preferred Experience

• Having 1-2 years of experience in the gaming industry is advantageous but not mandatory.

Additional Information

• Credit bets are prohibited for all team members, and while on duty, members must not place bets or use limited payout machines.
• Uniform compliance is mandatory during work hours, and team members are restricted from standing behind counters when off duty.
• Only applications meeting minimum requirements will be considered, and applicants not contacted within 30 days should consider their application unsuccessful.
