Job description
Role overview
The Justizvollzugsanstalt Neuburg-Herrenwörth is looking for new staff at the earliest possible date for the general prison service. The positions are initially fixed-term full-time roles, with the intention of later moving into a civil servant trainee appointment on probation status (Beamtenausbildung) starting on 01.02.2028.
Pay and working conditions are governed by the collective agreement for the public service of the German federal states (TV-L).
Key duties
- Monitor, support, and care for inmates during shift and rotating duty schedules.
- Handle escort duties, cell inspections, and supervision of the institution.
- Carry out visit procedures.
- Work closely with external specialists and partner institutions.
Entry requirements
- German citizenship is required.
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
- The maximum age as of 01.02.2028 is 44 years.
- A qualifying secondary school certificate (Haupt-/Mittelschulabschluss) is required, or a Haupt-/Mittelschulabschluss after 9 years of schooling together with completed vocational training.
- Participation in the next civil-service selection process, including a sports test, is mandatory.
