Job description

Role overview

The Keller Group is supporting a private, expanding organization that is hiring a Benefits Specialist for its HR function. This role is well suited to someone who enjoys employee support, benefits administration, and keeping compliance tight across a workforce spread across multiple states. It is a practical, hands-on position for an analytical professional who is service-oriented and able to work well in a busy environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee employee benefits programs, covering medical, dental, vision, retirement plans, and leave administration.
  • Act as the main contact for employee questions related to benefits and provide day-to-day support.
  • Handle leave processes across multiple states, including FMLA, ADA-related accommodations, and disability claims.
  • Support open enrollment activities and complete benefit updates accurately and on time.
  • Keep HRIS information current, maintain payroll deduction records, and protect benefits data accuracy.
  • Work with internal teams to help ensure adherence to applicable federal and state employment regulations.

Candidate profile

The organization is looking for someone with at least 5 years of experience in benefits administration, ideally with exposure to multi-state benefits and leave programs. Prior experience supporting retirement plans is also required. The right person should be highly analytical, detail-oriented, and committed to strong customer service. Clear communication, sound judgment, and discretion when handling confidential information are important. Familiarity with California and Arizona employment laws is preferred, and bilingual English/Spanish ability would be an added advantage.

Compensation and work structure

  • Base pay starts at $75,000 per year.
  • This is a full-time, on-site position.
  • Working hours are Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
  • A comprehensive benefits package is included.
  • Travel requirements are minimal.

Additional information

This opportunity is with a confidential, growing employer. The role offers a chance to support employees throughout the full benefits cycle while contributing to a meaningful HR function. Interested candidates with matching experience are encouraged to express interest for a confidential conversation.
