Role Summary

In this part-time Behavioural Health Coach position, you will support people using online mental health and wellbeing programs for concerns such as anxiety, depression, and stress. The role involves providing encouraging written feedback, helping users stay engaged, and contributing to the success of users participating in SilverCloud programs.

This is a part-time onsite role based in Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland, with an expected schedule of 20 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Track user participation and help keep users motivated, supported, and engaged while they use online wellbeing programs.
  • Prepare weekly written feedback that guides users as they move through their program.
  • Watch for signs of concern in user content and escalate issues through the proper channels when needed.
  • Show empathy, notice patterns in user tracking data, and help users build realistic, personalized goals.
  • Encourage ongoing use of the program tools so users stay connected, avoid dropping off, and gain a deeper understanding of the content.
  • Work closely with the clinical supervisor team to respond appropriately to users, support safety, and direct them to the right treatment option.
  • Attend monthly one-to-one meetings with your manager or supervisor and participate in monthly group supervision.

Required Qualifications

  • You should currently be pursuing, or have already completed, a Master’s degree and/or Doctorate in Psychology, Social Care, Psychotherapy, or Counselling.

  • Experience in services for children and young people is considered an advantage.
  • You need strong written communication, typing, and messaging skills, with the ability to write in a clear and personal tone.
  • You should be comfortable using different technology tools and able to adapt quickly as tools and systems evolve.
  • Insight, empathy, and compassion are essential, along with the ability to notice details that help users feel supported and understood.
  • Good judgment is important; with training and supervision, you must be able to recognize possible risks, know when to consult a supervisor, and stay within the coaching role without providing analysis, counselling, assessment, or therapy.
  • Experience with cognitive behavioral models, motivational interviewing, or short-term therapeutic methods is required/preferred as part of the role profile.
