Role overview
An established pharmacy group in Munster is looking for a commercially minded Beauty & Skincare Buyer to join its team in Limerick, County Limerick. This position plays a central part in sourcing, choosing and overseeing a wide mix of pharmacy-related products, with a clear focus on improving sales, margin and category results across several stores. Responsibilities
- Create and roll out buying plans for OTC, wellness, skincare and healthcare lines
- Review and refine product ranges so they stay commercially strong and aligned with customer needs
- Study sales figures, market trends and profit margins to improve product selection and pricing
- Spot new products, suppliers and other commercial growth opportunities
- Track sales results and respond quickly when products are not performing well
- Strengthen margin performance through pricing decisions and supplier negotiations
- Develop and sustain effective working relationships with suppliers
- Manage inventory levels to keep products available while reducing waste and shrinkage
- Keep a close eye on key performance measures such as margin, stock accuracy and waste
Requirements
- At least 2–3+ years of experience in buying, procurement or category management
- Prior exposure to pharmacy, retail or FMCG settings is strongly preferred
- Solid commercial judgement with a strong focus on sales and profitability
- Demonstrated skill in negotiating with suppliers
- Good analytical ability and confident use of Excel
