Job description

Role Overview

This position is with Aditya Birla Capital for the SME institutional business in Hyderabad, Telangana. The role focuses on expanding the SME LAP core portfolio, improving net interest margin and fee income, acquiring and retaining clients, and managing portfolio quality with strong documentation and compliance discipline.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver periodic targets for loan book growth, NIM, and fee income in SME LAP core products.
  • Maintain fee income at planned levels and support cross-selling efforts to meet business budgets.
  • Drive new client acquisition, client retention, and growth across a larger customer base.
  • Identify potential customers such as promoters, brokers, corporate clients, and wealth clients through direct selling, DSAs, NDs, and referral channels.
  • Prepare and execute monthly sales plans to win large prospective clients and maintain regular weekly and monthly contact with mapped accounts.
  • Develop a strong direct sourcing and DSA network to speed up deal closures.
  • Stay connected with the current client base to encourage repeat business and long-term relationships.
  • Track client expectations from the start of the relationship through closure, ensuring concerns and grievances are handled or escalated appropriately.
  • Support customer satisfaction by honoring commitments and maintaining service quality.
  • Oversee portfolio health, business from existing customers, monitoring, collections, and resolution of audit queries.
  • Stay updated on local market developments and use that awareness to make timely business decisions.
  • Ensure regular debt servicing and adherence to covenants through continuous engagement with borrower groups.
  • Review monthly or quarterly MIS data based on sector and transaction type to identify warning signs and risk indicators.
  • Issue NOCs and other customer-requested documents to support smooth business operations.
  • Follow all relevant policies, processes, and documentation requirements across products.
  • Support risk and review processes by monitoring client profiles and margin shortfalls within the prescribed timeline to help prevent NPAs.
  • Maintain and update LMS records for existing, new, and proposed clients, including all activities until transaction closure.
  • Share periodic lead closure and sales reports with the functional head.
  • Continue building capability through internal and external training and other relevant certifications in financial sales services.
