Job description
Role overview
We are seeking a Batcher / Plant Operator for the Singleton concrete plant in Newcastle, New South Wales. In this position, you will play a key part in keeping concrete production running efficiently and safely. The role combines batching, plant operation, production monitoring, basic maintenance, yard duties, and team support. Depending on your background, you may work across fixed and mobile plant operations and help resolve operational issues as they arise.
This opportunity is well suited to people who are interested in the concrete industry and can work early mornings as well as Saturdays when required.
Key duties
- Prepare concrete orders accurately according to specified mix designs using dedicated software and batching systems.
- Operate a front-end loader safely to measure and load materials for batching.
- Handle day-to-day administrative tasks, including raw material stock control and preparing monthly forecasts.
- Take part in safety practices such as pre-start checks, toolbox talks, and incident reporting.
- Carry out general yard cleaning, housekeeping, and routine maintenance tasks.
