Role Overview
The Bartender plays a vital role within the Food & Beverage team, focused on delivering outstanding beverage service that aligns with Four Seasons' standards. This position works closely with the Beverage Manager and requires passion for hospitality and elevating guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve an array of wines, spirits, and cocktails according to recipes ensuring quality and consistency.
- Confirm orders with guests, including special requests, and ensure accuracy and satisfaction throughout service.
- Engage guests at the bar with detailed knowledge about drink origins, flavors, and preparation.
- Anticipate needs, resolve concerns promptly, and offer thoughtful suggestions enhancing guest enjoyment.
- Maintain proper stock rotation (FIFO), cleanliness of bar counters, equipment, and fridges.
- Accurately close guest tabs and handle payments including cash, credit, voids, and complimentary items.
- Adhere to Four Seasons Work Rules and Standards of Conduct consistently.
- Collaborate professionally with coworkers and supervisors to foster a harmonious workplace.
- Maintain the bar area, wine cellar, and dispensing stores, participate in monthly inventory stock takes.
- Ensure beverage consumption is monitored and charged accordingly.
- Serve complementary food items in the bar, and prepare garnishes including cutting fruit.
Qualifications and Skills
- General knowledge of food and beverage service with strong interpersonal and personal presentation skills.
- Outgoing personality with a proactive, can-do attitude toward tasks and guest service.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- WSET certification is advantageous.
- Degree or Diploma in Hotel Management preferred.
