This is a permanent position located mainly in our Northern Cross Office with hybrid work arrangements including fieldwork across Dublin and Leinster.

Role Overview

The Barista Trainer will focus on educating clients and their teams on the safe and proper use of supplied equipment and products. The role emphasizes enhancing coffee quality and executing both short and long-term strategies by fostering strong communication and building positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct quarterly training sessions and Coffee Quality Checks proactively or reactively depending on results.
• Assist various departments in delivering exceptional coffee at customer pitches, tastings, and trade exhibitions.
• Represent Bewley’s at Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) events to highlight trainer expertise and strengthen industry standing.
• Collaborate with Area Sales Managers (ASM) to conduct focused sales efforts in community areas.
• Ensure coffee culture is deeply embedded within the company by working with the Barista Training Manager to deploy relevant programs and information across teams.
• Participate in ongoing training and development sessions to maintain Bewley’s leadership in the coffee industry.
• Develop strong relationships with key customers as designated by the Sales team.
• Regularly assess standards during training or quality check visits and communicate findings to clients and relevant colleagues.
• Maintain consistency and professionalism in customer training and feedback.
• Keep all training documentation, Coffee Quality Check records, and administrative tasks current and accurate.
• Support the Barista Training Manager and Assistant Trainers in delivering SCA-certified training courses for both customers and internal staff.
• Facilitate training for customers and prospective clients in the Northern Cross training facility.

• Qualifications such as SCA certification and 'Train the Trainer' credential.
• Active participation in SCA coffee competitions over the past two years.
• Possession of a full, clean driving license.
• Positive attitude, excellent telephone manner, and strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure, remain adaptable, flexible, and open to change.
• Strong ownership and responsibility, with a commitment to sustainability in all actions.
