About the Role

Snowy Owl in Dehradun seeks a proactive Barista to lead our coffee counter, providing high-quality beverages and ice cream treats while ensuring a welcoming environment for guests. You will embody our brand’s spirit and play a vital role in upholding service standards, from coffee crafting to front-of-house duties.

Main Duties

• Create and serve a range of espresso drinks such as cappuccinos, lattes, americanos, and cold coffees, adhering to precise standards of taste and appearance.
• Operate espresso machines, grinders, and associated equipment, and attend to their daily cleaning and maintenance routines.
• Demonstrate competency in the fundamentals of coffee preparation, including consistent extraction, accurate dosing, milk texturing, and the basics of latte art.
• Serve gelato and sorbet alongside coffee offerings; manage freezer storage and handle frozen products correctly.
• Manage customer transactions via billing systems and POS terminals, ensuring accurate cash and card handling.
• Greet guests warmly, promote menu items and special offers, and deliver exceptional service.
• Safeguard the cleanliness and hygiene of all workspaces, including the counter, coffee area, kitchen, and seating.
• Track inventory levels for all products and restock as needed.
• Assist in organizing catering services and providing support for in-store and offsite events.
• Work collaboratively with the team and follow the direction of the shift supervisor to ensure seamless shop operations.

Candidate Profile

• Preference given to those with prior barista or café experience, especially with espresso machinery, brewing methods, and milk techniques.
• Background in ice cream parlour service, catering, or store operations is an advantage.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
• Familiarity with POS and billing functions (training provided if needed).
• Professional appearance, reliability, and a team-oriented mindset are essential.
• Adaptability to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
