Job description

About ZerøBars Coffee

ZerøBars Coffee is a new coffee venture launching its first venue in central Edinburgh Waverley on 15 July. The brand is built to challenge the usual coffee-bar model by combining premium cold-extracted liquid coffee, a proprietary brewing process at a facility in Dorset, and modern dispensing technology to deliver hot and iced drinks with strong consistency, great quality, and high efficiency.

The concept is designed to give more time back to both guests and the team. Customers can receive drinks in as little as 10 seconds, while the business aims to offer improved pay, a four-day working week, and participation in profit sharing. The team behind the business brings more than ten years of experience from leading specialty coffee companies, and the bars will feature seasonal coffees alongside baked goods and drinks sourced from local independent suppliers.

Role overview

This opportunity is for someone who enjoys working in a fast-moving hospitality environment and wants to help shape a new specialty coffee experience from the ground up.

What you will do

You will be responsible for preparing excellent drinks quickly, managing a busy service station, keeping the coffee bar clean and running smoothly, engaging positively with guests, and making sure stock levels are maintained throughout service. Full training will be provided on the systems and products used in the venue.

Who this role suits

ZerøBars is looking for candidates with a solid background in hospitality and specialty coffee. Because the site will operate at high volume, experience in fast-paced settings will be especially valuable. The business also values a genuine interest in hospitality and a forward-looking mindset, and it is committed to developing each team member’s confidence and capability over time.

Pay and benefits

  • Hourly pay of £16.
  • Access to a profit share scheme.
  • A four-day working week.
  • 33 days of paid holiday per year, including Bank Holidays.
  • Workplace pension with 5% employee contribution and 3% employer contribution.
  • Monthly travel card or a comparable travel allowance.

Application process

Applicants are asked to send a CV and covering letter by email. Shortlisted candidates will first complete a phone interview, followed by an in-person final interview. A response will be sent by email regardless of the outcome.

Additional information

The opening is planned for the first site in Edinburgh Waverley on 15 July. The role is focused on quality-first, high-volume specialty coffee service, and the company’s operating model is designed to balance speed, consistency, and improved working conditions for the team.
