Banking Consultant - Consumer

Role overview

Heartland Bank is hiring a Banking Consultant for its Auckland team. In this role, you will support prospective motor vehicle lending customers across New Zealand, helping them understand the loan process and responding to their questions throughout the journey.

What you will do

• Handle customer enquiries related to motor vehicle lending and insurance.
• Help customers make clear, well-informed borrowing choices.
• Carry out all required compliance and verification checks accurately so policy, regulatory, and legal obligations are met every time.
• Place outbound calls to collect information, progress leads, and keep applications moving.
• Be willing to step in and take ownership of tasks to get the work done.

What we are looking for

You should be flexible, service-oriented, and comfortable working in a busy environment. The right person can balance multiple priorities, build strong relationships, and consistently provide a high standard of service.

• Demonstrated background in customer service.
• Experience in financial services or lending would be an advantage.
• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-driven approach with a focus on achieving positive results.
