Role overview
This opportunity is for an Inventory Co-ordinator to join a compact inventory team, with responsibility for managing queries, keeping stock at the right levels, and making sure daily orders are raised. The role works closely with three other co-ordinators and is supported by the wider logistics function.
This position is to provide cover during maternity leave.
Main duties
- Raise purchase or supply orders as required.
- Prepare pick tickets for stock movement and fulfilment.
- Respond to questions from the multidisciplinary team.
- Look into stock discrepancies and resolve issues.
- Keep the stock control system accurate and up to date.
- Distribute stock when needed.

Qualifications
Applicants should have a solid general education to GCSE level or an equivalent standard, along with NVQ Level 3 / ONC in Business Studies or comparable relevant experience. CIPS Foundation level is preferred.
Experience and skills
Relevant background in inventory control is essential, including a proven ability to manage stock portfolios effectively. Experience working as part of a team, commercial exposure, commercial awareness, and understanding of business principles are also required. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office is expected. Experience from public or private sector environments is desirable, as is familiarity with contract law and purchasing principles gained through NVQ Level 5 or equivalent experience.
Other requirements
Candidates must be numerate and literate, with sound analytical and problem-solving ability. Good keyboard and telephone skills are needed, together with project management capability, strong organisation and prioritisation, and clear verbal and interpersonal communication. The role also calls for initiative, common sense, a customer-focused approach, reliability, punctuality, motivation, and a strong team mindset. Evidence of ongoing professional development is required. Experience in negotiation, contract handling, and supplier management would be an advantage.

This is a bank contract role. The working pattern may include part-time, full-time, and flexible working arrangements. The hourly pay rate is £15.20 to £22.20. The role is based at Meteor Park Warehouse, Meteor Park, Queensland, Australia.
