Job description
Role overview
This position is centered on delivering catering support for patients and visitors across the hospital, including service to customers, patients, departments, and business tenants. The role requires strict compliance with all food safety and health and safety rules at every stage.
Working style
You will be part of a rota-based team, providing a reliable and high-quality service with a strong focus on patients and visitors. The job involves moving between the galley dining room and vending areas across different shifts.
Experience and knowledge needed
Applicants should already understand NHS policies and procedures, along with Food, Fluid and Nutrition Standards, which will be overseen by team leaders. Previous experience in a similarly busy food service setting is essential. This should include cash till handling and refilling plus cleaning multiple high-traffic vending machines.
Training requirement
Successful applicants must complete four weeks of training. This includes two weeks of working 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday to Friday, followed by two weeks of working 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Candidates should only apply if they can fully commit to this training schedule.
