Job description

Role Overview

We are seeking a Band 7 physiotherapist with specialized expertise in musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions to join our extensive MSK team supporting patients across Enfield and South Hertfordshire. The successful candidate will be based at Chase Farm Hospital in Enfield, with opportunities to work at local outreach clinics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough specialist physiotherapy assessments of patients presenting with a variety of complex physical and psychological MSK conditions.
  • Establish clinical diagnoses and design tailored treatment programs for individual patient needs.
  • Function as an autonomous clinician undertaking full clinical duties.
  • Collaborate effectively with general practitioners, consultants, and other healthcare professionals to maintain strong working relationships.
  • Lead and develop a small team within the department, fostering professional growth and development.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of service protocols and practice improvements under guidance from the MSK manager.
  • Develop and exhibit advanced specialist skills in musculoskeletal care, assisting in management duties within the designated area.
  • Support undergraduate student placements throughout the year, aiding in the training of future healthcare professionals.

Organizational Context

This role is part of North Mid under the North Central London integrated care system (ICS), collaborating with NHS and local authority organizations across Camden, Islington, Barnet, Enfield, and Haringey. The ICS facilitates joint decision-making and shared strategies while maintaining the independence of statutory bodies.

Training and Development

The trust values and prioritizes staff training to ensure the delivery of exemplary clinical care. It serves as a training hub for medical students from UCL and St George's University Grenada, along with nursing and midwifery students from Middlesex and City Universities.
