About the Company
Vili’s Family Bakery is a long-running, family-run business that has spent more than 50 years making pies and cakes that are well loved across Australia. The workplace is built around a team-first culture, and production staff play a central role in daily operations.
Role Overview
The business is seeking motivated Production Workers for ongoing casual assignments at its Mile End South site. The operation runs with more than 200 employees across 22 specialist teams and operates on a 24-hour roster.
This position offers regular full-time hours, ongoing casual work, and the possibility of becoming permanent over time.
Production Team Opportunities
Depending on business needs, you may be placed in one of several production areas and will build specialised skills relevant to that stream.
- Night Cook: Prepare pie fillings by following recipes so the day shift can assemble and bake products. This roster runs Sunday to Thursday with a start time of 8 pm or 9 pm and a finish time of 4 am.
- Pastry Team: Measure and weigh ingredients, then laminate and sheet pastry as required.
- Cooling / Esky Role: Manage baked goods after production, including pallet restacking, checking product temperatures, and assisting the Tipping Team when needed.
