Job description

Role overview

This is a role on behalf of a partner company, which will handle applications and all subsequent hiring steps. The partner is seeking a Back Office Specialist focused on poker operations and based in Germany.

You will join a fast-expanding iGaming team that supports the operational performance of an innovative online poker platform. The role centers on back-office setup for tournaments, promotions, loyalty programs, and game parameters, with the goal of delivering a smooth and accurate player experience. You will work closely with integrity and product teams to validate changes, monitor live activity, and resolve issues in a remote-first environment where accountability, precision, and continuous improvement matter.

Key responsibilities

  • Set up and upkeep poker platform parameters such as rake tables, betting limits, caps, prize splits, and tournament formats.
  • Build and manage tournament setups, including buy-ins, guaranteed prize pools, event types, blind structures, late registration rules, schedules, and access controls for players.
  • Administer rakeback, loyalty rewards, bonus logic, decay rules, and recurring payout mechanics.
  • Configure promotional conditions for tournament tickets, free spins, free bets, and similar incentives, making sure eligibility rules and restrictions are applied correctly.
  • Handle operational requests involving account restrictions, fund freezes, and bonus cancellations together with integrity teams.
  • Validate all configurations in staging before release, detect problems, and apply fixes promptly.
  • Observe tournament starts, table activity, and promotion behavior to keep operations running smoothly.
  • Keep complete records and change logs for every configuration and operational update completed.

Requirements

  • Minimum 6 months of hands-on experience with the back office of an online poker platform, iGaming operator, or poker club.
  • High precision and strong focus when working with numeric settings such as rake structures, guaranteed prize pools, and payout multipliers.
  • Good understanding of online poker formats, including Cash Games, Multi-Table Tournaments (MTTs), and Spin & Go tournaments.
  • Ability to follow operational checklists while maintaining clear and accurate technical documentation.
  • Experience with poker platforms such as EvenBet Gaming, PPPoker, ClubGG, or comparable tools is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with iGaming bonus mechanics, including wagering requirements, reward triggers, and payout limits, is preferred.
  • Basic SQL skills for checking configurations are a plus.
  • Practical poker playing experience is helpful for understanding gameplay and tournament setup.
  • Strong organization, problem-solving ability, and self-sufficiency in a remote work setting.

Benefits and workplace support

  • Fully remote working model with freedom to choose your workspace.
  • Formal employment arrangements with administrative support where applicable.
  • 20 paid vacation days, public holidays, and paid sick leave.
  • Private health insurance and coverage for psychological support.
  • Monthly flexible benefits allowance that can be used for hobbies, sports, wellness, or personal interests.
  • Learning support through an individual budget, corporate English lessons, workshops, and an online learning library.
  • Regular team-building events, internal gatherings, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
  • Defined growth paths supported by performance reviews, mentoring, and professional development programs.
  • A collaborative, innovation-focused culture with low bureaucracy and an emphasis on continuous improvement.
