About the Role
Our café’s secret to delicious meals like the big breakfast and perfectly toasted teacakes lies in the dedication of our Back of House team. This team is essential for preparing food, maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen, and ensuring consistent quality that our customers expect. As a vital member of this team, you will ensure every dish meets our menu’s high standards while keeping the kitchen area neat and orderly. This is a varied and crucial position that positively impacts our customers’ daily experiences.

Responsibilities
- Keep kitchen utensils and equipment spotless and well-organized.
- Serve customers efficiently, quickly, and with courteous attention.
- Adhere strictly to food safety and hygiene policies while maintaining daily documentation.
- Implement first-in, first-out (FIFO) stock rotation procedures to preserve food freshness.
- Receive deliveries and manage safe storage of food items.
- Comply with all operational guidelines and business protocols.
- Prepare, cook, and present food aligned with café menu standards.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and maintain full availability of food items.
- Have thorough knowledge of the café menu and serve dishes accurately as designed.
- Address customer complaints professionally and relay relevant feedback to the Café Manager.
- Stay informed on business updates and participate in new initiatives.
Requirements
- Strong commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
- Understanding of Health and Safety regulations.
- Ability to work efficiently while maintaining a clean workspace.
- Team player with effective communication skills and a proactive mindset.
