Azure Infrastructure Senior Engineer

Role Overview

Join Tata Consultancy Services as a Senior Engineer specializing in Azure infrastructure. This position entails provisioning and managing cloud infrastructure with Terraform, troubleshooting across multiple Azure environments, and ensuring security and compliance via Azure policies.

Key Duties

• Deploy and administer infrastructure resources on Azure using Terraform automation.
• Identify and resolve issues related to Azure service connectivity, configurations, and networking.
• Set up and maintain private network components including NSGs and firewall configurations.
• Enforce compliance with corporate Azure policies and security standards.
• Support software release cycles utilizing Azure DevOps pipeline tooling.
• Work collaboratively with development and deployment teams to ensure smooth rollouts.
• Provide assistance with database infrastructure management encompassing SQL and MongoDB environments.

Required Expertise and Experience

• Practical experience working with Azure services such as App Services, Virtual Machines, and Networking.
• Strong skills in Terraform scripting to automate infrastructure provisioning.
• Familiarity with private networking concepts and troubleshooting connectivity issues.
• Knowledge of Azure policy frameworks and governance mechanisms.
• Experience implementing and managing Azure DevOps pipelines and release procedures.
• Understanding of infrastructure requirements for SQL and Cosmos DB database systems.
• Good problem-solving aptitude coupled with effective communication capabilities.

Technical Skill Matrix

• DevOps: Experience with DevOps toolset managing Azure resource lifecycle; proficient in creating/modifying Terraform modules; competent with Git workflows (branching, pull requests); configure Azure DevOps pipelines including approval stages.
• Landing Zone: Expertise configuring Azure vNet/subnets, NSGs, and firewall rules; skillful in troubleshooting via KQL logs; capable of implementing Azure Policy for compliance and remediation.
• SQL Administration: End-to-end SQL database management and troubleshooting; familiar with DevOps and infrastructure-as-code practices applied to SQL; knowledge of backup, restore, and performance tuning; ensure compliance with Azure Defender for SQL.

• Azure API Management: Administer API proxies on shared APIM environments.
• Azure Shared Services: Manage application gateway routing, certificates, and health monitoring within shared platforms.
• Cloud Operations: Comprehend change control, release, and incident management processes in cloud infrastructure.
