Role Overview
The Hertrich Family of Automobile Dealerships is looking to add an experienced Automotive Sales Manager / Desk Manager to its Dover, Delaware location. This is a leadership position for someone who performs well in a busy dealership setting and wants strong earnings, career growth, and long-term job stability.
The opportunity is aimed at seasoned automotive sales leaders who can guide a team, improve results, and help drive dealership performance.
Compensation and Benefits
This position offers a highly competitive pay structure with bonus potential and no cap on earning opportunity, depending on performance. The benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, as well as short- and long-term disability coverage. Key Responsibilities
- Direct, coach, and encourage a high-performing sales team.
- Use effective sales tactics and accountability to achieve strong results.
- Deliver a smooth and positive customer experience throughout the buying process.
- Build deal structures and manage related paperwork and compliance requirements.
- Work to improve profitability on each transaction.
- Provide support with finance activities when needed.
- Partner with the General Manager to meet dealership objectives.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in automotive sales or finance management.
- Demonstrated leadership ability and team development skills.
- Highly motivated, energetic, and focused on results.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms and dealership workflows.
- Experience with used-car purchasing or appraisal is an advantage.
- OEM certifications are considered a plus.
- Availability for a flexible schedule, including weekends.
- High School Diploma or GED is required; a college degree is an added advantage.
