About the Role

Pride Motor Group on the Lynnway in Lynn is seeking a dynamic individual to lead and oversee our Parts Department. This role involves close collaboration with the Service Management team to ensure employees are equipped to deliver exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and strive to meet departmental objectives and forecasted goals.
  • Recruit, train, motivate, evaluate, and guide parts department personnel.
  • Plan and manage the annual operating budget of the parts division.
  • Maintain balanced inventory levels suited to service, body shop, wholesale, and retail requirements.
  • Set pricing strategies that ensure profitable margins while fostering customer loyalty.
  • Determine optimal parts inventory quantities to maximize turnover and reduce obsolescence.
  • Ensure parts inventory turnover occurs multiple times annually.
  • Properly tag all parts to guarantee full factory credit recovery.
  • Oversee stock ordering and special order policies.
  • Analyze sales, expenses, and inventory monthly to uphold profit targets.
  • Implement and grow a wholesale parts program to generate profits.
  • Coordinate with service and body shop management to facilitate swift parts delivery for internal work.
  • Conduct regular management and department meetings.
  • Evaluate and reorganize departmental operations and storage for efficiency.
  • Provide technical guidance to parts staff.
  • Manage payroll and ensure timely processing of department paperwork, shipping, and receiving tasks.
  • Monitor performance metrics such as daily sales and productivity reports.
  • Develop and use lost sales tracking methods.
  • Lead sales efforts both inside and outside the dealership, including customer outreach programs.
  • Maximize utilization of manufacturer inventory cooperative advertising.
  • Enforce customer service standards and resolve complaints in alignment with dealership policies.
  • Ensure accurate accounting of purchases before payments are processed.
  • Assist in collecting overdue accounts.
  • Enforce safety standards including forklift operation, handling material safety data sheets (MSDS), and comply with OSHA Right-to-Know regulations.
  • Stay informed and comply with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations affecting parts sales.
