What you will do

  • Review vehicle repairs, approve completed work, and complete the related paperwork.
  • Make sure each vehicle moves through the full reconditioning workflow to maintain consistency.
  • Deliver high-quality reconditioning work that reduces repeat visits, and perform routine spot checks to confirm quality and completeness.
  • Identify body damage and direct vehicles to the Body Shop when required.
  • Route vehicles to the clean-up department as needed.
  • Coordinate appointments with windshield, tint, and accessory installers.
  • Prepare work orders for all completed work.
  • Track and maintain inventory of cleaning materials and supplies.
  • Support, supervise, and guide the dealership’s detailing team.
  • Help build a strong customer-service culture through training, coaching, supervision, and performance management.
  • Use established systems and procedures to ensure a consistently positive customer experience.
  • Review and apply Service Centre policies and procedures that improve repair quality and customer relationships.
  • Monitor the operating budget by keeping track of sales and expenses.
  • Support safety and security procedures across the service area.

What you need

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • At least 2 years of automotive detailing experience is required.
  • Experience with CDK is preferred.
  • A valid Ontario driver’s licence and a clean or good driving record are required.
  • Hands-on experience detailing vehicles with professional-grade chemicals.
  • Ability to use power tools while following safety practices and procedures.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and time-management abilities.
  • Comfort working in a changing environment and meeting deadlines.
  • Solid computer skills and leadership capability.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform well under pressure.
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules.

Compensation and job details

This is a full-time permanent position. The role is paid through a skilled-trades flat-rate piecework structure, with an expected hourly rate of $21.00 to $22.00. Based on historical earnings at this location and typical productivity, expected annual earnings are $40,000 to $50,000; actual income may vary depending on individual output and service department repair order volume.
