Role summary

An opportunity is available for a full-time Automotive Detailer in Wausau, Wisconsin, focused on maintaining clean, safe, and rental-ready vehicles. The role is based at 2210 Sherman St, Wausau, WI 54401 and pays $16 per hour.

You will handle the washing, cleaning, sanitizing, inspection, and preparation of vehicles such as cars, trucks, and vans so they meet strict cleanliness and safety standards before being rented out. The position supports a strong customer experience through careful vehicle presentation and site upkeep.

Work schedule

  • Sunday: 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM
  • Monday: 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
  • Tuesday: 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
  • Wednesday: 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
  • Thursday: Off
  • Friday: 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Saturday: Off

Responsibilities

  • Clean and disinfect vehicle interiors according to Complete Clean Pledge standards
  • Vacuum and prepare cabin interiors to the required standard
  • Wash, clean, and dry vehicle exteriors, including cars, vans, and trucks of different sizes
  • Check fuel levels and warning indicators; inspect windshields for damage; restore vehicle settings to remove previous customer data; secure customer belongings in Lost & Found; confirm registration is present, current, and matches the license plate
  • Inspect fluid levels, add fluids when needed, and review tire condition, pressure, and tread depth
  • Examine vehicle exteriors for damage and raise safety concerns as needed
  • Fuel and stage vehicles for use
  • Report warning lights, windshield damage, tire damage, or other safety issues and remove vehicles from prep flow when necessary
  • Keep the workspace neat and organized and report unsafe or hazardous conditions
  • Use required personal protective equipment and ensure cleaning and sanitizing supplies are stocked
  • Support customers when needed, including possible transportation between branches
  • Help keep branch locations presentable inside and out
  • Handle site-cleanliness tasks such as wiping desktops and counters, cleaning phones, floors, bathrooms, trash removal, vacuuming, sweeping the lot, and other general upkeep duties
  • Work on self-improvement through evaluation, skill building, training, and goal setting
  • Maintain dependable attendance and punctuality
  • Carry out other related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must hold a valid driver's license
  • Driving record must show no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents in the last 3 years
  • No alcohol- or drug-related conviction on the driving record within the last 3 years
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without needing employer sponsorship now or in the future
  • At least 6 consecutive months of previous work or organizational experience is required
