Enterprise Mobility is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented person to join the team as a full-time Automotive Detailer. The role is based at 1046 W Sunshine St, Springfield, MO 65807, and pays $16 per hour.

Role Summary

This position supports the company’s commitment to top-tier vehicle cleanliness and safety. The detailer and car washer will help maintain high standards by thoroughly cleaning, sanitizing, inspecting, and preparing cars, trucks, and vans for customer rental use.

Enterprise Mobility operates a wide range of transportation and mobility services through brands such as Enterprise Rent-A-Car, National Car Rental, and Alamo Rent A Car. The organization also provides carsharing, truck rental, fleet management, retail car sales, and travel management services across a global network.

The company is privately held by the Taylor family of St. Louis and, together with its fleet management affiliate, oversees a fleet of 2.4 million vehicles through more than 9,500 staffed neighborhood and airport locations in over 90 countries and territories.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize, vacuum, and prepare vehicle interiors using standard industry procedures.
• Wash, dry, and clean vehicle exteriors, including cars, vans, and trucks of different sizes.
• Check fuel levels and warning lights; inspect windshields for damage; reset vehicle settings to remove prior customer data; look for customer belongings and place valuables in Lost & Found; confirm registration is present, valid, and matches the license plate.
• Review fluid levels and top them up when needed; inspect tires for condition, pressure, and tread; examine exterior damage.
• Refuel and position vehicles for processing.
• Identify safety issues, document warning lights or damage, and remove vehicles from prep processing when needed.
• Keep the work area clean and organized, and report unsafe or hazardous conditions.
• Use equipment such as carpet shampoo machines and air purifiers to remove stains, pet hair, and odors.
• Assist customers when required and may transport customers to and from branches.
• Help maintain the overall appearance of the site, including interiors and exteriors of branch locations.
• Handle branch cleaning tasks such as desks, counters, phones, floors, trash, bathrooms, lot sweeping, vacuuming, and other routine cleanliness duties.
• Work on self-improvement through evaluation, training, skill building, and goal setting.
• Maintain dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Carry out additional job-related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• A valid driver’s license is required, with no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents on the driving record in the last 3 years.
• No drug- or alcohol-related conviction may appear on the driving record within the past 5 years.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without needing current or future visa sponsorship from the company.
• At least 6 consecutive months of previous work or organizational experience is required.
