About the Role

We are seeking a committed and responsible full-time Automotive Detailer to join our team in Halifax, NS, at 3387 Kempt Rd. This opportunity offers $17 per hour and full-time hours of 40 per week, focusing on maintaining exceptional cleanliness and safety standards for our vehicle fleet used in customer rentals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Thoroughly clean, sanitize, vacuum, and prepare vehicle interiors following rigorous industry standards.
  • Wash, clean, and dry the exteriors of various vehicle types, including cars, vans, and trucks.
  • Inspect fuel levels, warning indicators, and windshields for damage; reset vehicle settings to clear previous customer data; check for customer belongings and securely handle lost items.
  • Verify vehicle registration compliance, including matching license plate details.
  • Check and replenish essential fluid levels, examine tire condition including pressure and tread depth, and survey vehicle exterior for any damage.
  • Fuel vehicles and arrange them properly for rental service.
  • Identify and report safety issues or alert indicators and segregate any vehicles requiring additional attention from normal prep processes.
  • Maintain a tidy and safe work environment, reporting hazards promptly.
  • Operate specialized equipment such as carpet shampooers and air purifiers to remove stains, odors, and animal hairs.
  • Assist customers as necessary, including providing transportation to and from branch locations.
  • Support overall branch cleanliness through interior and exterior maintenance activities like cleaning desktops, phones, floors, bathrooms, and the parking lot.

Additional Duties

  • Continuously enhance job skills through self-evaluation, training programs, and goal setting.
  • Ensure dependable attendance and punctuality.
  • Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Valid Canadian Class 5 driver's license with no more than two moving violations or at-fault accidents in the previous three years.
  • No drug or alcohol-related convictions on driving record within the past five years.
  • Work authorization in Canada without requirement for sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds to assist customers.
  • Availability for a consistent full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (8:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.) and Saturdays (9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.), subject to business scheduling needs.
  • Minimum age of 18 years.
