Role Overview

The organization is looking for a proficient Automation Lead to spearhead test automation strategies, framework creations, and execution within enterprise environments. This role is central in maximizing automation scope, optimizing release cycles, and integrating AI-derived quality analytics. The appointed professional will manage automation delivery, uphold testing governance, and oversee UAT preparation and client acceptance processes. Competency in Robot Framework is compulsory, with familiarity in Mainframe-based PEP+, CNS, and Payment Exchange systems considered advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

• Formulate and steer automation approaches encompassing functional, API, and regression tests.
• Establish robust automation frameworks, coding protocols, and reusable components.
• Enhance automation breadth, reliability, and return on investment.
• Identify and seize automation opportunities across diverse business processes.
• Develop and maintain expandable automation systems employing Robot Framework.
• Automate functional and regression test cases, assuring script reusability and resilience.
• Seamlessly integrate test automation within CI/CD pipelines.
• Validate complete system workflows spanning distributed and integrated applications.
• Support testing efforts across API, batch, and user interface layers.
• Facilitate integration validations and data flow checks.
• Manage comprehensive testing cycles including system integration, UAT assistance, and support test planning.
• Perform data verification and reconciliation tasks.
• Lead defect triage processes and root cause investigations.
• Ensure readiness for production deployment and deliverables quality.
• Leverage AI-powered tools for automated healing, smart test executions, and failure diagnostics.
• Promote intelligent test data management and operational enhancement.
• Collaborate effectively with business analysts, developers, QA personnel, and stakeholders.
• Report on automation metrics, coverage, and insights frequently.
• Drive UAT preparedness and client approval workflows, monitoring validation reports and defect resolution.
• Ensure thorough testing of all critical scenarios, facilitating smooth production readiness coordination.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years in quality assurance or test automation roles.
• At least 3-5 years experience specifically as an Automation Lead.
• Proven skills in designing and implementing automation frameworks.
• Mandatory hands-on expertise in Robot Framework.
• Experience in integrating automation with CI/CD pipelines and managing enterprise test programs.
• Knowledge or exposure to mainframe systems or payment processing platforms is beneficial.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Selenium with Java or Python.
• Proficiency with UI, API, and integration test automation.
• Familiarity with automation frameworks and reusable design patterns.
• Experience using API testing tools such as Postman or Newman.
• Strong analytical skills for defect triaging and root cause analysis.
• Competence in data validation and test execution.
• Experience supporting SIT/UAT testing phases and facilitating client sign-offs.
• Excellent communication and leadership capabilities.
• Domain knowledge in payment systems including Wire Transfers, ACH, and FX.
• Exposure to messaging standards SWIFT MT/MX and ISO 20022.
• Experience with Robot Framework, PEP+ mainframe-based systems, CNS, and Payment Exchange platforms.
• Familiarity with AI-enhanced testing tools.
• Basic understanding of mainframe batch processing, job control language (JCL), and job flows.

Eligibility

Candidates must possess a B.Tech or B.E. degree in any specialization to be eligible for application.
