Overview
Denplex Engineering Company, located in Vatva, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, seeks an experienced Automation Engineer with expertise in Special Purpose Machines (SPMs), jigs and fixtures, and industrial automation. This full-time, permanent role involves designing, building, and commissioning reliable tooling solutions integrating both mechanical and electrical aspects to enhance manufacturing operations.
Key Duties
- Create designs for Special Purpose Machines based on customer specifications and production needs.
- Develop detailed CAD drawings, assembly layouts, and Bills of Materials utilizing AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA software.
- Design jigs and fixtures for welding, assembly, inspection, and machining processes, focusing on optimizing cycle times, precision, and repeatability.
- Perform Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and tolerance analysis on important components.
- Engineer and deploy PLC-driven control panels and automation circuitry.
- Program PLCs and HMI interfaces, proficient with Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, and Delta platforms.
- Integrate sensors, actuators, pneumatic and hydraulic systems with electrical controls.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues in SPMs and automated tooling.
- Prepare electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts for manufacturing and maintenance.
- Maintain thorough documentation including drawings, BOMs, test reports, and change logs.
- Support ISO 9001:2015 audits by providing necessary technical documentation.
- Work with customers during Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and on-site commissioning phases.
- Coordinate with suppliers for procurement of components, pneumatics, hydraulics, and electronics.
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma, Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.), or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Mechanical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related fields.
- At least 2 years of practical experience in SPM design, jig and fixture design, or automation sectors.
- Prior experience in automotive, general engineering, or manufacturing industries is advantageous.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems is beneficial.
