Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled AutoCAD Designer specializing in tapered roof insulation at our Atlanta, GA shared services Tapered department. This role requires expertise in designing roof insulation layouts and supporting sales efforts.

Responsibilities

• Create layouts for tapered roof insulation systems using AutoCAD software.
• Calculate material costs associated with tapered polyiso roof insulation projects.
• Prepare quotations, perform follow-ups, and support sales of tapered roof insulation products.
• Build and maintain strong collaborations with architects, contractors, distributors, private label accounts, and regional sales teams.
• Promote and expand market penetration for tapered AC Foam through specifications of Gemini Products.
• Interpret architectural and contractor specifications, including drainage, to develop appropriate designs.
• Achieve or surpass monthly gross sales targets and maintain approved profit margins.
• Initiate and handle telephone communications to gather project details from architects, contractors, consultants, distributors, and membrane manufacturers.
• Send drawings and quotations to customers for review and submission purposes.
• Be prepared for occasional travel as needed.

Experience and Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience estimating, designing tapered roof insulation systems, or commercial roofing material sales.
• Preferred education includes a bachelor's or technical degree in Engineering, Drafting, or related fields; equivalent experience may be considered.

Skills and Abilities

• Proficient in AutoCAD; experience with Taper Plus is highly beneficial.
• Ability to interpret architectural plans and engage effectively with architects.
• Competence in analyzing technical procedures and relevant regulations.
• Strong presentation skills to effectively communicate with managers, clients, employees, and the public.
• Intermediate skills in geometry and mathematics.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel, and email platforms.
• Deliver excellent customer service consistently.
• Good time management and organizational capabilities.

Additional Details

• Experience or background in design-related fields such as landscape, architectural, interior, or product design is desirable.
• Proven working knowledge of CAD software.
