Role overview
This position is for a qualified accounting professional who holds CPA credentials and SOCPA certification. The role focuses on maintaining accurate accounting records, producing compliant financial reports, and ensuring all finance activities align with Saudi regulations, IFRS, and ZATCA requirements. The successful candidate will also help strengthen financial controls and contribute to informed business decisions.
Key responsibilities
- Draft and examine financial statements in line with IFRS and SOCPA requirements.
- Maintain compliance with ZATCA obligations, including VAT, Zakat, and Corporate Income Tax.
- Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.
- Supervise the general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, and payroll accounting.
- Liaise with external auditors and support the audit cycle from start to finish.
- Prepare and file VAT and Zakat returns accurately within deadlines.
- Create and strengthen internal controls and accounting procedures.
- Review financial results and deliver management reports and forecasts.
- Assist with budgeting, cost management, and financial planning tasks.
- Ensure adherence to Saudi labor, tax, and commercial regulations.
Qualifications and requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline is required.
- CPA certification (US or an equivalent credential) is mandatory.
- SOCPA certification or membership is compulsory.
- Applicants should bring 3 to 9 years of relevant accounting experience, depending on the level of seniority.
- Solid working knowledge of IFRS, SOCPA standards, and Saudi tax regulations is essential.
- Hands-on exposure to ZATCA processes, including VAT, Zakat, and corporate tax, is needed.
- Experience with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or comparable systems is expected.
- Strong analytical ability, sound problem-solving skills, and effective communication are important.
- Professional fluency in English is required; Arabic language ability is an added advantage.
