Role Overview
Dronfield Henry Fanshawe School, a thriving and oversubscribed educational institution located near Sheffield and Chesterfield, seeks to hire an Attendance Co-ordinator. The key focus of this role involves collaborating closely with pastoral teams to implement strategies that improve student attendance, punctuality, and welfare, particularly supporting those at risk due to poor or declining attendance.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside pastoral staff to respond to and assist with student and family engagement initiatives aimed at enhancing attendance and punctuality.
- Support students whose educational progress may be impacted by irregular attendance.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- Prior experience in a school setting is essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English with a high standard.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills.
- Confidence engaging with young people.
- Ability to manage work effectively under pressure.
- Experience handling sensitive matters with discretion.
