Job description
About the Role
This opportunity is for experienced quantitative professionals who want to contribute to AI model training. The work involves assessing AI-produced quantitative analysis, tackling technical problem-solving tasks, and sharing feedback that helps improve how models reason about data, scientific questions, and analytical methods.
Candidates from a wide range of quantitative backgrounds can fit well here, including data science, astrophysics, economics, biostatistics, operations research, and related disciplines. If you are comfortable thinking rigorously about data, models, and scientific problems, your expertise is relevant. Some contributors do this alongside another full-time job, while others make it their main focus.
To begin, you create an account and complete a short assessment that acts as the interview step. Successful candidates receive confirmation by email, after which paid tasks become available on the platform.
Contracting Advantages
- You can decide which projects to take on and choose the times you work.
- The work is done on your own schedule, using your own computer, from home.
- Hourly pay starts at USD 50 to USD 100+ per hour, and some projects offer additional bonus rates.
Responsibilities
- Review AI-generated quantitative outputs for correctness, including statistical analysis, predictive modeling, scientific reasoning, and data-backed conclusions.
- Create and solve quantitative tasks used to train and evaluate AI systems across forecasting, experimental analysis, optimization, and statistical inference.
- Produce understandable technical write-ups and maintain well-structured analytical code.
- Share detailed feedback that helps improve future AI models for quantitative reasoning.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of practical experience in a quantitative role or research setting, such as data science, statistics, economics, finance, physics, biology, epidemiology, operations research, or a related area.
- Some coding ability is required, along with the confidence to write and review analytical code from start to finish.
- Direct experience with statistical techniques, predictive modeling, and experimental design, including A/B testing, hypothesis testing, regression, classification, and time-series forecasting.
- Strong English fluency at a native or bilingual level, plus excellent writing skills.
- A bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a similar field is preferred; a master's degree or PhD is an advantage.
- Additional credentials are beneficial, such as a strong Kaggle ranking, AWS or GCP machine learning certifications, or equivalent proven expertise.
Additional Information
This is an independent contractor position. Pay is issued through PayPal, and PayPal handles any currency conversion from USD. Applicants are only being considered from the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand. No payment is required from applicants at any stage.
