Role overview
This role supports the planning and delivery of athlete memorabilia signings and related events. It sits at the center of Fanatics’ partnerships with professional athletes, teams, and agents across the NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, and other sports.
The position is responsible for keeping signings running smoothly from early coordination through final follow-up. That includes managing logistics, building and sustaining strong working relationships, and serving as a main contact for internal teams, outside vendors, and athlete representatives. The work also covers product movement, event execution, expense review, and handling donation-related requests.
This is a fast-moving, travel-intensive role suited to someone who stays composed under pressure, understands the sports environment, can adapt to changing priorities, and represents the Fanatics brand with professionalism and energy.
Key responsibilities
- Help plan and execute athlete memorabilia signings, events, and virtual appearances.
- Act as a primary contact for athletes, agents, and internal teams throughout the signing and contract process.
- Coordinate product tracking, athlete requests, and contract-related assets tied to partnerships.
- Keep communication clear and timely with internal stakeholders and outside partners.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reconcile expenses connected to signing activities.
- Represent Fanatics professionally at events that require extensive travel, manual labor, and availability on nights, weekends, and holidays.
Requirements
- 1 to 3 years of experience in sports, events, relationship management, or a related field.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Excellent organization skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and solve problems quickly in time-sensitive situations.
- Proven ability to work across departments and manage relationships with high-profile individuals.
- Strong interest in working on a collaborative, driven team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, with heavy travel.
Work location and physical demands
This is a remote role with the ability to travel up to 80% of the time for partner meetings, events, and related activities.
The role is typically performed in an office-style environment with frequent sitting, walking, and standing, plus occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and balancing. It also requires regular eye, hand, and finger coordination for office equipment, along with spoken and auditory communication through tools such as telephones.
Physical requirements include lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds, standing for 8 to 12 hours per day during signings or events, and walking several miles per day at off-site events.
