About the Role

This contract opportunity is for a Physics PhD-level specialist to support an AI research effort. The work is fully remote and is centered on creating difficult physics problems and producing high-quality training data for advanced language-model systems.

What You’ll Do

Design demanding problems across Statistical Mechanics, Condensed Matter Physics, AMO Physics, and related areas.
Help with a project built around cutting-edge large language models.
Generate reliable, high-value data that can help shape future AI development.
Coordinate with AI research teams to keep outputs accurate and useful.
Operate independently and in an asynchronous workflow while meeting deadlines for assigned tasks.

Requirements

Doctorate in Physics is required.
A graduate degree from the US, UK, Canada, or Western Europe is required.
Strong precision and careful attention to detail are essential.
Excellent written and spoken communication skills are expected.
Fluency in English is necessary.

Additional Information

The role is based remotely and asks for a commitment of 4 to 6 tasks each week. Compensation is set at $85 per hour. The intended start month is February, and applications are considered on a rolling basis.
