About the Role
This contract opportunity is for a Physics PhD-level specialist to support an AI research effort. The work is fully remote and is centered on creating difficult physics problems and producing high-quality training data for advanced language-model systems.
What You’ll Do
- Design demanding problems across Statistical Mechanics, Condensed Matter Physics, AMO Physics, and related areas.
- Help with a project built around cutting-edge large language models.
- Generate reliable, high-value data that can help shape future AI development.
- Coordinate with AI research teams to keep outputs accurate and useful.
- Operate independently and in an asynchronous workflow while meeting deadlines for assigned tasks.
Requirements
- Doctorate in Physics is required.
- A graduate degree from the US, UK, Canada, or Western Europe is required.
- Strong precision and careful attention to detail are essential.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills are expected.
- Fluency in English is necessary.
Additional Information
The role is based remotely and asks for a commitment of 4 to 6 tasks each week. Compensation is set at $85 per hour. The intended start month is February, and applications are considered on a rolling basis.
