Job description

About the Program

Julius Baer is looking for an Associate Relationship Manager to join its 36-month development program in Singapore. The role is designed to prepare you for a career in private banking and wealth management, with strong support from senior leadership as you grow into a trusted advisor for high-net-worth clients.

The programme combines structured learning, practical client exposure, and coaching to help you build the confidence and capability needed in a competitive wealth management environment.

Program Highlights

  • Structured training across the breadth of wealth management, including investment solutions, wealth planning, and credit facilities.
  • Ongoing mentoring and hands-on guidance from experienced Senior Relationship Managers.
  • Opportunities to connect with internal stakeholders and industry professionals to broaden your network.
  • Regular feedback to support continuous improvement and recognize performance milestones.

What the Role Involves

As an Associate Relationship Manager, you will help grow and manage a client portfolio, support clients with tailored investment guidance, and work with the team to identify opportunities for deeper engagement. You will also help maintain service quality, support compliance obligations, and take part in marketing and business development efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a client base through proactive outreach and teamwork.
  • Provide investment advice and service tailored to individual client needs.
  • Strengthen client relationships through cross-selling and upselling.
  • Maintain high standards of client satisfaction, accurate documentation, and regulatory adherence.
  • Support marketing initiatives and forward-looking business activities.
  • Contribute actively to the Associate Relationship Manager community by sharing practices and experiences.

Core Skills and Learning Outcomes

In this role, you will build expertise in client relationship management, investment advisory, portfolio management, and the wider discipline of wealth management. You will also expand your network across clients, colleagues, and market professionals.

Profile

The ideal candidate brings strong interpersonal and networking ability, listens carefully, adapts quickly, and stays motivated under pressure. A high level of integrity, an independent mindset, and the ability to collaborate effectively are important for success in this role.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in wealth management, investment consulting, or a supporting role within a private banking frontline team.
  • Strong spoken and written English and Chinese skills; additional language ability based on market needs is an advantage.
  • Relevant regulatory licences from MAS.
  • Client Advisor Competency Standards (CACS) certification is preferred.

Additional Information

This opportunity is based in Singapore and is a full-time onsite position. The programme runs for 36 months. Applicants are expected to submit a complete application through the employer’s online application process.
